A new clinical study, “Comparison of Intraosseous Systems in Emergency Medicine (CITRIN)”was released in December 2015. This study was the first to compare the FASTResponder Sternal IO device with the Teleflex (formerly Vidacare/EZ-IO) Tibia and Humerus IO devices.

In a new clinical study review, Dr. Alan Moloff reviews this paper, and offers his insight and analysis into some of the key findings, including:

  • The FASTResponder Sternal IO had the highest first time insertion success rate.
  • The flow rates in unfixed cadavers were highest over each time frame and pressure level for the FASTResponder Sternal IO.
